Flying to Sabah on 13 Sept 2010

This is my first time flying alone from Kuching Airport to Kota Kinabalu. But not my first time step on Sabah land, this is my third times visit KK. First time was on 2008 to attend Boys' Brigade National Camp at University Malaysia Sabah (UMS); and second times flying to Sabah was to travel and visit around Sabah (Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, Semporna, Sandakan, Kudat) with friends on 2009. This times I visit Sabah again is carry a mission, which is conquer one of the highest mountains in Southeast Asia, Mount Kinabalu.

Kick start of my Final Year Project

Reference books & guidebook

After pending so many weeks and my supervisor also start to keep chasing my report. Therefore, I must utilize this Raya holiday to complete few chapters of the report and submit it to my supervisor for review and check after the holiday. Today I must complete at least the introduction part. Hush!!!!

Challenge Mt. Santubong

On 28th August 2010, 7 youngsters were gathered and challenge one of the famous mountain in Kuching, Mt. Santubong.

Its takes us 3 hours to reach the peak of the mountain and another 3 hours to go down.

Raya Lunch_10 September 2010

This is my lunch for celebrating Raya.

Industrial Training - 25 May 2010

The machine is almost complete assemble and this few days just doing teaching and alignment. After lunch I was asked to send some of the part for modification. This is my first time being asked to send the part to the vendor (since I step in the company, I just in-charged assemble the parts), and this is also my first time drive manual car (company's car) in Penang after I pass my driving license.

Industrial Training_Day 5_Over Work

Today, finally I manage to find a tool box and put some mechanical tools that I regular use during my work time.

Today I thought I can back on time at 6pm. When I prepare to go back, the management officers asked me to come back work after I having dinner (before that, they asked me to stay back, but I said my home had prepared my dinner, so they let me go). Although I reluctantly to come, but I have no choice to follow their order. So, after dinner I back to office and work for 1 hours plus to assemble the machine main structure. This is not over time but over work. Why I said so? over time means you can claim the money for your extra work hour, but over work means you work for volunteer with no extra money is being paid for you. Therefore, over time and over work is not the same.

Industrial Training_07052010_Day 4

From the first day till the fourth day, I need to identify which screw should be use to fix the structure. Most of time, I use to find the suitable screw in order to mesh up the 2 mechanical parts, it is not an easy job.

Today is more relax compare to the first three days, because most of the mechanical parts I had finish assemble. Now just waiting for the main structure delivery, then only the whole set of the machine can be complete. Therefore, today I go back on time at 6pm.

Industrial Training @ Day Three

As usual, today I continue assemble the part of the machine,

hopefully it will be completed the whole machine on time,

if not will be screwed by boss when he back from oversea.

Today afternoon, the management install a punch card machine at our office.

Therefore, starting from tomorrow,

I need to punch card whenever I reach or leave the office.

That's mean, I cannot be late to work and can't take my lunch too long at outside.

Okay, is time to sleep. If not tomorrow will late for work again.

Industrial Training @ Day 2

Today my Managing Director request me to write a daily report and email to him and project coordinator everyday. He want to know what I had learn everyday in his company. Besides that, everyday I need to attend two meeting, which is before work and after work. Sounds like very tough, but I do appreciate, because most of the company, the managing director won't bother you, or allow you to take part in their big project, but the company I joined, the boss treat me very good, he ordered his engineer to teach me everything, and he also ask me to list down what skills and knowledge I wish to learn during my 10 weeks industrial training. Although everyday I need to do over time to make sure all the part is assembly according to the timeline, but I learn a lot of new things and skills in this two days.

Industrial Training @ First Day

Today is my first day working for Industrial Training.

Whole day, I in-charged assembly the part of a machine.

Before assembly the parts,

I asked to check the parts with a check list.

Then,

follow the drawing given and find the parts and assembly it.

Almost like assembly Lego.

It's sound so simple,

but,

It takes me more than 10 hours,

to complete only 10 % of the machine parts.

I guess tomorrow will repeat the same job I done for today.

Factory Visit 19032009

This was my first visit to a factory after study at university 3 years. The factory that we were visited is a large and famous company, Nestlé, and it had distributed around the world, they have 7 factories in Malaysia. The one that I visited is located at Kuching, and it is the only one factory in east Malaysia.

Nestlé company produce many food products, but in Kuching factory, they only make instant noodle and ice-cream. However, we only manage to visit the instant noodle production plant. Although we were not allowed to visit the ice-cream production plant, but we still can taste the free ice-cream.

After visit the plant, we were treated with free unlimited ice-cream, instant noodle, honey stars, coco crunch, chocolate bar and different type of drinks (milo, nescafe,capuccino, mocha, teh tarik) that made by Nestlé.

Of course, this visitation is not for us to enjoy the foods and drinks. But to learn and understand the process of the product is make. After back to university, we still need to write a report based on what we had observed in the factory and need submit to the lecture within 2 weeks. As a conclusion, this is a good experience for me to have a better understanding on the manufacturing process that cannot learn in lecture's notes. Looking forward for next factory visit :)

Time to Revive my blog

As the title go, it is the time for me to continue write something on my blog.

Time really flies,

the period between my previous blog until this latest post already is half year.

Just realize I'm away (disappear) for so long in the Blogspot atmosphere.

During the pass 6 months,

Where I had been?

What I am doing for such long period?

You might be so curious to know the answer.

I am not going to tell you now.

But,
