This was my first visit to a factory after study at university 3 years. The factory that we were visited is a large and famous company, Nestlé, and it had distributed around the world, they have 7 factories in Malaysia. The one that I visited is located at Kuching, and it is the only one factory in east Malaysia.
Nestlé company produce many food products, but in Kuching factory, they only make instant noodle and ice-cream. However, we only manage to visit the instant noodle production plant. Although we were not allowed to visit the ice-cream production plant, but we still can taste the free ice-cream.
After visit the plant, we were treated with free unlimited ice-cream, instant noodle, honey stars, coco crunch, chocolate bar and different type of drinks (milo, nescafe,capuccino, mocha, teh tarik) that made by Nestlé.
Of course, this visitation is not for us to enjoy the foods and drinks. But to learn and understand the process of the product is make. After back to university, we still need to write a report based on what we had observed in the factory and need submit to the lecture within 2 weeks. As a conclusion, this is a good experience for me to have a better understanding on the manufacturing process that cannot learn in lecture's notes. Looking forward for next factory visit :)
